CONTEST RULES

  • The online audition process consists of 2 possible rounds of auditions.

The first round of auditions determine who will progress to the next level of the competition.  Those who progress past the first round will fall into one of two categories:

A) Contestants who reside in a province hosting a live Provincial Final event

Contestants who reside in a province hosting a live Provincial Final event, will be expected to attend this event and compete in person.  Exceptions may be made if there are extenuating factors to consider, such as travel requirements being unreasonably prohibitive to those in geographically remote regions.

B) Contestants who DO NOT reside in a province hosting a live Provincial Final event

Contestants who DO NOT reside in a province hosting a live Provincial Final event, or who have received special permission to continue the online audition process, will be invited to participate in the second round of online auditions.  The 2nd round of auditions determine who will progress to the National Finals.

  • Each contestant must submit 2 videos per round, in accordance with our video requirements for online submissions, to be reviewed and graded by a panel of judges.

  • After each round of auditions, a video conference will be scheduled between each contestant and KWC Canada representatives, including judges, coaches and administrators.  The contestant will receive feedback and constructive criticism regarding their performances, and a final verdict as to their progression in the competition.

  • ALL contestants who qualify for the National Finals, must attend the event in person in order to compete.  There is no online component at the national level.  â€‹â€‹
